I thought that I was reordering the same Vev Vigano pot that I had used for about 15 years before it giving out, but this turned out to be a cheaper replica. I don't know what the previous one was made of but it was heavier, sturdier. This one is light weight...it takes considerably longer to brew (about 16 - 17 minutes to brew at high heat), and it doesn't hold the heat as well. It feels cheap when you pick it up.It does make a good cup of coffee, so I'm not entirely unhappy with it...In terms of a typical coffee mug, it makes 2 1/2 mugs.

This pot only lasted about 6 months before the handle broke off. Then, when we would open and close it, we had to be extra careful because the lip of the top sliced a large cut into my husband's hand! Eventually, we had to just give up and throw it away.
