Product Info
The lady of the house -With a passion of preparing perfect espresso.
Created in 1968 by Carlo Giannini, this beautiful, all stainless steel espresso maker is still one of the most charming "Grand Ladies" of stovetop espresso makers. Giannina is equipped with a patented simple handle rotation system that makes the otherwise common tank screw system completely unnecessary and always ensures the perfect fit of the top part and the boiler.
Thanks to a intelligent coffee basket system inside the maker, Giannina can even be used for the preparation of either 1 or 3-cups (for the 3-cup version), 3 or 6-cups (for the 6-cup version) and 6 or 9-cups (for the 9-cup version) of delicious espresso without compromising taste or flavor.
To emphasize the highest quality of this espresso maker, Giannina features a, for stovetop makers, unusual 10 year guarantee. This beautiful espresso maker is entirely made of high quality 18/10 stainless steel. The 6cup version can also be used on induction hobs (base diameter is 3.5" = check your induction hob user manual for minimum surface).

We bought this pot about 15 years ago in Europe and really never used it much. Then we we moved to Florida and experienced hurricanes and no electricity. I used this pot on our gas grill the two weeks we were without power and when I tasted how much better the coffee tasted I continued to use it daily ever since. I want to buy a new one just to have as a back up because the thought of not having this pot makes me nervous. But I think it will outlast me. Only drawback is that it makes so little coffee. The cups are demitasse so you really get about 3 regular size cups.

This product is clearly marked made in Italy. Comparing this to the other Alessi at 235.00 this is actually as aesthetically pleasing, the functionality of the patented handle design is superb ( stays cool ), and having used it it works very well and is easy to open, close and clean. Spare gasket was included and they are much cheaper and readily available on line without the high delivery charge from Italy. And the COFFEE is tremendous.
