This nifty little espresso maker has served me well for the past 4 years. Originally I started out with the classic Bialetti 3 cup moka pot, which worked fine but made too much coffee for one person. The 2-cup Vev Vigano Vespress - which actually makes only 2 oz of coffee - is perfect for single serve lattes, cappuccinos, and americanos. I prefer the stronger coffee it produces to French Press and drip coffee. Unlike the aluminum Bialetti, the stainless steel pot is easier to clean up and imparts no metallic taste to the coffee.While I overall like the Vespress, potential buyers should be aware of a few caveats:* If you have a gas range like me, you'll find the device is too small to fit on your stovetop. Use a hot plate or a cast iron skillet underneath.* The handle and top lid are all metal which can become very hot to the touch.* Needs to be watched constantly to avoid burning coffee. It doesn't make a loud gurgling sound when brewing like the bigger moka do so you need to keep checking the top chamber.I'm ordering a Bialetti Musa 4-cup to make coffee for two. But I will continue using my trusty Vespress on those occasions when I'm traveling or when I only need to make a cup for myself.

This is a beautiful pot but it is really not 2 cup, so I had to return it. Italian espresso measures are about 2 ounces, and this barely holds enough liquid for one espresso. Two cups of espresso should be about 4 ounces, and this is not. At least, that is my understanding of espresso measures. It would probably be perfect for one cup of espresso.
