I was really impressed by this dynamo of an espresso maker which in my opinion is better than any fancy or very expensive pump machine. Every cup of espresso I have with this maker comes out perfect, with the crema in it. Save yourself a lot of money when considering an espresso maker, this 50 dollar stove top maker will outperform your several hundred dollar pump machine everytime. The proof is in the cup you will enjoy with this espresso maker. Remember to follow the instructions, which are actually easy to understand. I am sold on Bialetti Brikka makers...you will be too.

This little pot makes great coffee...end of story!I have the 4 cup Brikka and the 9 cup Moka Express as well. All are fantastic and have a place and time for use;But the 2 cup Brikka is THE BEST...for that one great double shot!Technically, not an expresso?...those who splitthat hair are in need of something much stronger than coffee! At a fraction of the cost of a 'real' expresso machine, make a cappuccino that will rival any from the bestprofessional barista on the streets of Rome.Order the Capresso Froth Pro for a complete package.

Since I purchased the 2 cup Bialetti Brikka, I have put away my Rancilio Silvia which served me well for the past 11 years. Now I can make myself a great cup of espresso without all the clutter, and fuss.I have found that using Pilon Gourmet coffee in the Brikka produces the most crema of any coffe I have tried, in addition to a strong, and very smooth cup. In my humble opinion, this combination is unbeatable.Tips for producing a top quality espresso with the Brikka:1) Fill receptacle to etched line inside. Don't overfill.2) Fill filter with Pilon Gourmet coffee. About 15 grams. DO NOT TAMP. Do tap the sides of the filter so that the coffee is level.3) Place on stove top using medium/high heat. Leave the lid open, so you can see the activity.4) The coffee will initially start to drip and in a few seconds the bulk of the process will finish with a loud "whoosh". At this point remove the pot from the fire, put the lid down and pour into a preheated demi tasse. Enjoy!
